How much does a QR code menu cost in India?
There is no single India-wide price. A basic QR image can cost nothing to generate, while a hosted menu, editable destination, analytics, ordering, POS features and printed stands may be priced separately or bundled into a subscription. The useful comparison is therefore the complete setup the restaurant needs, not the QR pattern alone. This dated snapshot records three provider pricing pages checked on 2 October 2026; it is not a full market survey, endorsement or guarantee that listed plans remain available.
What does “QR menu cost” include?
Separate at least five line items before comparing providers:
1. Code generation: a static symbol can encode the menu URL. The QR code specification and the commercial service used to generate a file are distinct questions.
2. Menu hosting: a guest-facing page may be free, included in a plan, or billed. Check included menu items, outlets, branding, custom domains and whether the restaurant can export or retain its content.
3. Editing and analytics: ask whether menu edits, scan reports, history or destination changes require a paid tier. A dynamic redirect is an ongoing service, so its availability depends on the operator’s plan and terms.
4. Ordering and payments: adding a cart, table context, kitchen routing or payment may move the product from view-only menu to ordering software. Check transaction charges and supported workflow separately from the subscription.
5. Physical materials and setup: stands, cards, weather-resistant labels, shipping, onboarding and menu-entry work can be extra, included, or self-managed.
A dated sample of published India pricing
The following public pricing pages were checked on 2 October 2026. This is a small, non-exhaustive sample, and the listed plans are not feature-equivalent. Compare each provider’s current checkout terms before making a purchase.
These figures show the displayed starting price of selected products, not the typical amount paid by Indian restaurants. Features, taxes, renewal terms, onboarding and payment charges differ. A view-only digital menu, an editable hosted menu and a restaurant operating system with POS or ordering are different products. A price comparison should match the functions the buyer intends to use.
- TapNconnect: Basic ₹49/month, Premium ₹99/month and Pro ₹149/month; annual plans are listed separately. QR menus appear in all three tiers. The page assigns menu imagery and AI features to Premium and WhatsApp ordering / UPI features to Pro.
- QRSeva: the page lists a 14-day trial, India Starter at ₹199/month and Growth at ₹1,788/year (about ₹149/month). It lists India pricing in INR and says applicable taxes are extra. Its FAQ also describes a free starting option, so confirm current plan terms directly.
- FrontPe: Starter ₹699/month, Professional ₹899/month and Enterprise custom-priced. Starter includes QR-ordering essentials; Professional adds POS, billing, online payments, inventory and other restaurant-management features.
Estimate your first-year total
Use a simple comparison formula:
First-year total = setup or onboarding + 12 × recurring subscription + transaction charges + print/stand costs + tax
Only include the costs the restaurant will incur. For example, if a restaurant self-generates a static code and hosts its menu on an existing public webpage, its QR-generation line can be ₹0; that does not imply its web hosting, staff time or printed table cards are also free. If a platform provides a free trial, count the paid period after trial expiry when calculating the first-year total. Compare monthly and annual billing using the amount actually payable, including tax and cancellation terms.
Questions to ask before choosing a plan
- Does the guest page stay public if the trial ends or the restaurant cancels?
- Is the printed code static, or does it depend on a provider redirect?
- How many menus, outlets, items and user accounts are included?
- Are ordering, payment processing and POS included, or separately priced?
- Are there setup, printing, transaction, cancellation or tax charges?
- Can the restaurant update the menu without contacting the provider?
Worked first-year comparison
Suppose a restaurant selects TapNconnect’s monthly Basic tier shown at ₹49/month. Twelve months at that displayed price would total ₹588 before any applicable charges or changes in terms. A QRSeva annual plan displayed at ₹1,788 would total that listed subscription amount for the year before applicable taxes. These examples compare subscription arithmetic only; they do not assume the plans provide the same features or that a listed price remains available after 2 October 2026. The provider pages should be checked again at purchase.
Add other lines only when they apply: one-time setup, printing, stand purchase, tax, transaction fees, onboarding and staff time. Do not multiply an annual price by twelve, or divide it without labeling the monthly equivalent. Compare the amount payable for the same period and billing cadence. A free trial is not the same as a permanently free service. The published trial conditions and any post-trial plan determine the next cost.
